[Sunny switches to video herself, setting down comfortably for this. Her hair it quickly pinned back and she props up her tablet, wincing almost imperceptibly at the dogeared page of his book. The oil and greasy jacket don't bother her. In fact, it reminds her a lot of her own behaviors.]

Oh yes, they are. I'm not sure I'd be suited to combat anyway.

Primarily, I've focused on engineering and advanced programming. I've also got experience with nanomachine technology.

[ Chrys's eyebrows shoot up for a moment, seeing that face. Even though he's seen them young--- heck, even he was leading his own crew at sixteen--- she's got to be, what, nine? Ten?

Which means, in all likelihood, he's either being toyed with, or she's really, really good.

...okay. Focus on the point. Engineering, good, advanced programming, good (computers being something far, far ahead of his time, and that he's only had the last few months to start trying to get the hang of), nanomachines...

....nanomachines? He's only heard that terminology from one other person so far. ]

You wouldn't happen to be acquainted with someone named "Raiden", would you?

She's a little surprised to hear him mention Raiden and doesn't hide it. It's not a bad sort, she actually smiles a little.]

Yeah, actually. I've known Raiden almost my entire life.

Well, if you worked with Raiden and got on well enough, I think we'll be able to work well together.

[Raiden is one of the most important people in her life, besides Snake and Hal.]

Could you tell me a bit more about your work with nanomachines? They're quite ahead of my time, but...

My experiences primarily lie with second and third generation nanomachines. They're the ones I've been using since I was born.

They range from one micrometer to one nanometer in size, typically, and can be programmed for various purposes. Many, in recent years, are used for medical purposes. Mine are programmed to function for communication but I can reprogram them to repair any wounds I would receive by organizing a supply of platelets that would be used to coagulate the wound. They can also monitor my life signs.
